What is North Wiltshire Credit Union? We are a community savings and loan co-operative so people can save small or large amounts and borrow from the fund at a reasonable rate. North Wiltshire Credit Union is owned and controlled by and for its members. Currrently our collection points are in Calne, Chippenham, Wotton Bassett, Cricklade, Corsham and Rudloe. Are my savings safe? North Wiltshire Credit Union is a member of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme ensuring that savings are safe. Savings and loans are covered by free life assurance up to 80 years of age. Who runs the Credit Union? The members of North Wiltshire Credit Union control the organisation with the Board of Directors, which is elected at the Annual General Meeting. Everyone who saves with or borrows from the Credit Union can vote at the Annual General Meeting. The Financial Services Authority (FSA) This is the authority that regulates banks, building societies and
the North Wiltshire Credit Union. Regular reports have to be sent to them.
